FLIR Cloud App Reviews

Had to call support after the latest update and reload everything on our devices in early March. They worked for a couple of weeks, but now nothing works at all, including deleting app and reloading, rebooting and entering all the required info. Totally useless. Why cant they figure this out? Zero stars.

I have been using this app for approximately 2 months to monitor the 4 Lorex security cameras I installed at my home. I am not able to access the cameras most of the time through the app. I repeatedly get "login failed"messages. The app is very unproductive for my needs. Had I known the app was so unproductive, I perhaps would have made a decision to install a different manufacturers cameras.

Love my Lorex camera system but the Flir App is garbage, works when it wants which is not often. Was going to purchase Lorex for my business but due to this terrible non functional app I will look into other brands.

Now I cant connect to my cameras....maybe you could fix it

Since Ive updated this app it crashes constantly, and is extremely slow. I have even deleted and reinstalled it, And Ive also rebooted my phone, still same problem.....

Ive used this app for less than a week and Lorex has already asked me to uninstall and reinstall this app. After setting up with a Lorex tech I proceeded to view the cameras. Worked brilliantly. However, the next day the cameras wouldnt connect at all. I couldnt bring up the settings. The only time the app works is when I turn my cellphone off and on. Pretty unimpressed thus far.

This is a piece of trash I can not connect with my cameras. Useless app!

The last update broke the Favorites button, have to individually select each camera. No way to contact support or anyone to notify them of the issue.

I installed a lorex system for my parents so they could keep tabs on their dog who is like a family member. The FLIR app was easy to setup on their iPhone but problem is when you leave the app and come back to it later you often get only the little spinning circle on the screen. Only way around this is to force quit the app and then restart. Problem is my parents are not very astute at iPhone operation so Im constantly fixing this problem for them. I have the lorex stratus app for my cameras but it works fine.

Lorex, can you finally please fix this app? There is no connection unless you restart the phone! This is frustrating!

Great cameras and system but the app is horrible!!! Not user friendly at all!!!

Ive been using this for a week now with a Lorex system. Basically, this give me the remove viewing I want but setup was quirky despite the easy scan to program improving. Tech support for Lorex is great, and they had me input the product ID manually, and not scan it in. Flair doesnt tell you, but dont scan or input your info until AFTER completing all the other input data first.. I dont know how this will work with other brand cameras but it seems to work well with Lorex after working with their free support.

Cant get this to work on new iPhone 6. Wouldnt work on old iPhone 4 either. Can not get it on iPad since update. Worthless app. Wish I would have read reviews before updating. Fix this please!

Worked with my Lorex system for a while but is now not functional. No way to get to a settings function, just stuck. Sick of having to de-bug apps.

I am so frustrated with this app!! It only works about 10% of the time. I was robbed last year and purchased cameras for that reason and to have a sense of security and be able to check in when I am not home, but I can rarely ever do that. Flir needs to make some big changes. This is ridiculous!!! Oh, and if I could give it 0 stars I would.

Found this app uses the cellular network even when the phone is on wifi. (Yup turned off the option in settings->cellular and still showed using data). Caused my plan to spike 1GB per day (ouch). Also suspect this app caused a serious battery drain.

Update: Push notifications finally work again. I bought this system in particular so that I could get push notifications on my phone whenever motion is detected. After spending hours trying to get it to work and finally thinking that I was doing something wrong, I decided to call their customer support. After explaining the problem to them, they told me that their servers stopped working "last week" and they dont know when they will be working again. This was a week ago and its still not working. Apparently the feature stopped working in January (found out after doing several searches) but I havent found a single comment online from them with any updates or status on the problem. This shows poor customer support on their part. I do have to say though, the cameras look to be of good quality (HDIP822VW). Email alerts do work, but I only get a snapshot, not a video, so thats a work around for now. Also, I had to use gmail and had to allow "less secure apps" on my account for it to work. I do like that I can check on my house from anywhere. That part was easy to set up. I think that they are close but they need to get push notifications to work again.

Simply does not work well I have an iPhone 6s Plus software with IOS 9.3.1 and I have to turn off the phone and turn it on, sometimes it works sometimes not. I call customer service and were unable to give me an explanation. This happened since the last update that flir cloud made on March 4, 2016.

Update to bring push support. What good is that when it now takes 10-15 minutes of opening and closing the app just to connect to your system. The Quality Control team here is lacking letting this release make it out to the public. If you havent upgraded, DONT!
